Makes 🢒 Saturn 🢒 2007 🢒 VUE - FWD 🢒 Transmission/Transaxle 🢒 Transfer Case - MJ8 🢒 Transfer Case Fluid Drain and Fill

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    2. Object Number: 1227157 Size: SH
  2. Remove the fill plug and gasket.
  3. Place a container under the drain plug in order to catch the oil.

    4. Object Number: 1227168 Size: SH
  4. Remove the drain plug and gasket. Allow the oil to drain.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1227168 Size: SH
  1. Install the drain plug and gasket.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the drain plug to 44 N·m (33 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1227157 Size: SH
  2. Fill the transfer case with synthetic gear oil GM P/N 12378261. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities .
  3. Fill the transfer case to the bottom of the oil fill plug hole.
  4. Install the oil fill plug and gasket.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the oil fill plug to 44 N·m (33 lb ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
