Subject: DTCs C1FFF and C0236 May Set As A Result of Some Powertrain DTCs

Models:2007 Saturn Vue Greenline Hybrid
with 2.4L Engine (VIN Z - RPO LAT)


The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

A false C1FFF may set in the ECM and a false C0236 may set in the EBCM as a result of some Powertrain DTCs.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If this concern is experienced, the Powertrain DTC (s) should be diagnosed and repaired as necessary. Once the cause of the Powertrain DTC (s) is repaired, the C1FFF and C0236 should not return if they are false DTCs as described above.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
