Models: |
This PI was Superceded to Update Recommendation/Instruction, Please Discard PIP4212A.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Shortly after having the SGCM Jumper Harness from 07195 installed for a P0A4B DTC, the vehicle may return with a SES Light and Battery Light due to a U0120 DTC.
If this concern occurs, inspect the SGCM jumper harness to ensure that:
• | none of the C2 SGCM connector terminals are backed out from when it was originally plugged in. To do this, unplug the lower SGCM connector (C2), remove the clear connector face cover, and inspect all of the terminals to ensure that they are seated properly. |
• | terminals 1, 3, 8, and 21 were properly transferred from the original C2 SGCM connector to the new C2 SGCM jumper harness connector as outlined in steps 3.7 - 3.11 of 07195. There have been instances where the wrong terminals were transferred to the wrong cavity. If necessary, refer to the C2 SGCM Connector End View found in Hybrid Controls Connector End Views in SI to ensure that terminals 1, 3, 8, and 21 were transferred to the correct cavities. |
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
