The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some technicians may experience a battery light illuminating with DTCs U0111 and U1897 present after programming the BDU/BECM. Typically this occurs after the hybrid battery assembly or BDU/BECM is replaced for a separate concern.
Important: As mentioned in the Control Module References Section of SI, the replacement BDU/BECM does not have to be programmed when it is replaced because it comes preprogrammed.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If DTCs U0111 and U1897 occur shortly after programming the BDU/BECM, replace the BDU/BECM again but DO NOT program the new BDU/BECM with TIS2Web. Install the new components "out of box".
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
