Removal Procedure
- Remove the transmission side cover. Refer to
Control Valve Body Cover Replacement.
- Remove the six bolts from the transmission fluid pressure (TFP) switch assembly.
- Remove the TFP switch assembly from the control valve body assembly (18). The 4 pressure switch O-rings are reusable and should remain with the TFP switch assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the TFP switch assembly to the control valve body assembly (18). The 4 pressure switch O-rings are reusable
and should remain with the TFP switch assembly.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the six bolts to the TFP switch assembly and tighten to
12 N·m (9 lb ft).
- Install the transmission side cover. Refer to
Control Valve Body Cover Replacement.
Note: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.
Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will need to
relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.
- Reset the TAP values. Refer to
Transmission Adaptive Functions.
