The theft deterrent module (TDM) monitors the 12 V battery voltage on the battery positive voltage circuit.
• | The ignition is ON. |
• | The reported battery voltage received via serial data is greater than 9 V. |
The TDM detects that the battery voltage is 6-9 V.
The security indicator turns ON.
DTC B1424 will pass when the battery voltage is greater than 9 V.

⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. |
