Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1378591 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front side door outer belt sealing strip retaining screw at the rear edge of the door.
  2. Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement .
  3. Remove the front side door outer belt sealing strip by lifting up on the seal starting at the rear and working forward.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1378591 Size: SH
  1. Align the front side door outer belt sealing strip fastener location with the hole in the door structure and outer panel retaining tabs.
  2. Starting at the rear of the belt seal, push the belt seal down onto the flange until fully seated.
  3. Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement .

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the front side door outer belt sealing strip retaining screw.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
