Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the right front tire/wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
2. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

Power Steering Pump Inlet Pipe Bolt

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
Tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

Power Steering Pump Inlet Pipe Seal

Tip
Discard the O-ring seal and use a NEW O-ring seal prior to installation.

Procedure

Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Tip
Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle.
