Preliminary Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
3. Remove the left rear tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
4. Remove the left rear inner wheel house liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
5. Remove the 3 rubber exhaust hangers to gain access to the A/C and the heater pipes.
6. Remove the auxiliary evaporator tubes from the HVAC module.
7. Remove the auxiliary evaporator tubes from the front evaporator pipes.
8. Remove the auxiliary evaporator tubes from the front underside of vehicle.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Reposition the auxiliary evaporator tubes according to removal.
