Preliminary Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
4. Remove the rear suspension support. Refer to Support Replacement .
5. Remove left rear inner wheel house liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
6. Remove auxiliary heat pipes from heater core.
7. Remove heat pipes from front heater hoses.
8. Remove A/C pipes from front A/C lines. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Replacement
9. Remove heat pipes from front underside of vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Reposition heat pipes according to removal.
