Preliminary Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
2. Remove the fascia support bracket. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Upper Support Replacement .
3. Remove the upper radiator support. Refer to Radiator Replacement .
4. Lift and support the radiator to aid in the compressor removal.
5. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) hose assembly for the compressor. Refer to Compressor Hose Assembly Replacement .
6. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
7. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

Tip
Mandatory torque sequence is required upon installation. Refer to the circled bolt sequence in graphic.

Tighten
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
