Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1836990 Size: SH
  1. Remove the right and left catalytic converter to exhaust flexible pipe bolts and nuts.
  2. Remove the flexible pipe insulator from the pipe hanger.

    3. Object Number: 1836993 Size: SH
  3. Loosen the exhaust muffler clamps.

    4. Object Number: 1837182 Size: SH
  4. Separate the exhaust flexible pipe from the catalytic converters.
  5. Remove the exhaust flexible pipe from the muffler.
  6. Remove and discard the catalytic converter to flexible pipe gaskets.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1837182 Size: SH
  1. Install the exhaust flexible pipe to the muffler.
  2. Insert NEW catalytic converter to flexible pipe gaskets between the catalytic converters and the exhaust flexible pipe.
  3. Install the exhaust flexible pipe to the catalytic converters.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1836993 Size: SH
  4. Install the exhaust muffler clamps and tighten to 5 N·m (44 lb in) .

    5. Object Number: 1836990 Size: SH
  5. Install the flexible pipe insulator to the pipe hanger.
  6. Install the right and left catalytic converter to exhaust flexible pipe bolts and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft) .
