Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the interior liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
2. Remove the rear wiper arm and blade assembly. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .

Liftgate Center Applique Nut (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Release the 4 lower nuts first and ensure the foam gaskets are in place on the studs prior to re-assembly.

Tighten
5 N·m (44 lb in)

Integral Retainer (Qty: 5)

Tip
Release the 5 upper retainers second.

Liftgate Center Applique

Procedure

Pull the panel rearward and disconnect the electrical connector and 2 bulbs from the liftgate panel.
