Preliminary Procedures

1. Use a grease pencil to outline any portions of the latch being replaced in order to align the new hinge appropriately.
2. Remove the liftgate assembly if replacing both hinges. Refer to Liftgate Replacement .
3. Prop and secure the liftgate.
4. Lower the rear of the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .

25 N·m (18 lb ft)
