Preliminary Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
4. Remove the rear suspension support. Refer to Support Replacement.
5. Remove left rear inner wheel house liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement.
6. Remove auxiliary heat pipes from heater core.
7. Remove heat pipes from front heater hoses.
8. Remove A/C pipes from front A/C lines. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Replacement
9. Remove heat pipes from front underside of vehicle.

Heat Pipes Attaching Nut (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Reposition heat pipes according to removal.
