Test the IGN 2 MaxiFuse® located in the underhood accessory wiring junction block.

Test for a short in circuit 142 or in circuit 75,

Using a test light, connect between the RAP relay harness connector terminal A2 and ground.

Is the test light on?

Connect a 60A fused jumper between the RAP relay harness connector terminals A2 and C1.

Upon connecting fused jumper, does the fused jumper open?

  1. Leave the fused jumper connected from previous step.
  2. Test the operation of the radio and power windows.

Do the radio and the power windows operate?

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  2. Reconnect the RAP relay.
  3. Using a 10A fused jumper, connect between the BCM harness connector C1 terminal C5 and ground.
  4. Test the operation of the radio and power windows.

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
  2. After BCM replacement, perform the Setup New BCM procedure. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.

Inspect and repair circuit 240 between fuse block E8 and relay connector C2.

Using a Tech 2 go to the input screen and open and close all the doors.

Does the input status change from off to on when opening and closing each door?

  1. Turn off the IP dimmer switch.
  2. Turn off the left and right roof rail courtesy/reading lamps.
  3. Turn off the inside rearview courtesy/reading lamps.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  5. Observe the interior courtesy lights, and close all the vehicle doors.

Are the interior courtesy lights off?

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  2. Make sure all doors are closed.
  3. Using a test light probe between the BCM connector C1 terminal C16 and B+.
