Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 325161  Size: SH
  1. Position the sunroof in the fully closed position.
  2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the following components:
  4. • The actuator
    • The express module
  5. Disconnect the front drain hose connections from the sunroof housing.
  6. Disconnect the rear drain hose connections from the sunroof housing.
  7. Remove the 4 sunroof module bracket to side rail bolts.
  8. Remove the 6  sunroof module to roof bolts.
  9. Remove the sunroof module at the actuator bracket bolt.
  10. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle through the door opening.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 325161  Size: SH
  1. Install the sunroof module to the vehicle through the door opening.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the sunroof module at the actuator bracket bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof module at actuator bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the 6  sunroof module to roof bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof module to roof bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the 4 sunroof module bracket to side rail bolts.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof module bracket to side rail bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  9. Connect the front and rear drain hoses clamps to the sunroof housing.
  10. Important: Rotate the clamps 90 degrees in order to ensure clearance when the headliner is installed.

  11. Connect the electrical connectors to the following components:
  12. • The actuator
    • The express module
  13. Temporarily install the power sunroof switch and check the operation of the sunroof.
  14. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  15. Open and close the sunroof in order to test for correct operation of the sunroof.
  16. Adjust the sunroof as needed. Refer to Sunroof Panel Vertical Adjustment .
