J 38778 Door Trim and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Remove the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
2. Remove the sunshade retainers (3). Refer to Sunshade Anchor Replacement .
3. Remove the power sunroof switch, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement in Roof.
4. Remove the dome lamp, if equipped. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement Lighting Systems.
5. Remove the coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
6. Remove the assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
7. Remove the windshield pillar garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
8. Remove the upper quarter trim panels. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
9. Pull down on the door opening weatherstrip seal on both the front and the rear doors.
10. Use J 38778 in order to remove the rear retainers (2).
11. Rotate the right front seatback to a horizontal position.
12. Remove the headliner (1) from the vehicle through the right front door.

Important: Use care not to bend the headlining too much when loading the headliner (1).

1. Install the headliner (1) in the vehicle through the right front door.
2. Install the headliner (1):

2.1.	Align the sunshade holes in the headlining with the respective hole in the body structure.

2.2.	Engage the front hook and the loop fasteners.

3. Install the rear retainers (2).
4. Install the door opening weatherstrip seal on both the front and the rear doors in order to hold the headliner (1) in place.
5. Install the center pillar upper trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
6. Install the upper quarter trim panels. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
7. Install the windshield pillar garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
8. Install the assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
9. Install the coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
10. Install the dome lamp, if equipped. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.

Install the power sunroof switch, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement in Roof.

11. Install the sunshade retainers (1). Refer to Sunshade Anchor Replacement .
12. Install the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
