Did you perform the Wiper/Washer System Check?

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector C1.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Turn the wiper switch to OFF.
  4. Measure the voltage from connector C1, terminal B, to ground using a J 39200.

Is the measurement within the specified values?

10.5-15 V

Go to Step 4

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector C2.
  2. Measure the voltage from connector C2, terminal A, to ground using a J 39200.

Is the measurement within the specified values?

10.5-15 V

Go to Step 7

Test for a short to B+ in CKT 92.

Does a short exist?

Go to Step 5

Repair the short to B+ in CKT 92.

Did you complete the repair?

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

Test for a short to B+ in CKT 196.

Does a short exist?

Replace the wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement .
