Wiper/Washer System Check Standard

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Hold the washer switch in the ON position for 1-2 seconds.
    • The washer sprays the windshield until the you release the switch.
    • The wipers run at low speed and continue to run in LOW after the wash cycle is complete.
    •  Washers Always On

Turn the wiper switch to OFF.

The wipers return to the park position at low speed.

    •  Wipers Always On

Turn the wiper switch to LOW.

The wipers run continuously at low speed.

Turn the wiper switch to HIGH.

The wipers run continuously at a faster speed.

Turn the wiper switch to OFF.

The wipers return to the park position at low speed.

    •  Wipers Always On

Turn the wiper switch to MIST, then release.

The wipers make one complete sweep at low speed and return to park.

    •  Wipers Always On

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Hold the washer switch in the ON position for less than 1 second.
    • The washer sprays the windshield and continues to spray for 2-3 seconds after you release the switch.
    • The wipers run at low speed and continue to run for approximately 6 seconds after the washer cycle is complete, then return to the park position.
    •  Washers Inoperative
    •  Washers Always On
    •  Wipers Always On

  1. Turn the washer switch to DELAY (pulse mode).
  2. Activate the delay time by turning the wiper switch through the delay range.

The wipers make one complete sweep, then pause for 0-25 seconds before making the next sweep.

  1. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY.
  2. Hold the washer switch in the ON position for 1-2 seconds.
    • The washer sprays as long as the washer switch is held in the ON position.
    • The washers run at low speed during the spray period and continue for approximately 6 seconds after the spray cycle, then return to the pulse mode.
    •  Washers Inoperative
    •  Washers Always On

Turn the wiper switch to LOW.

The wipers run continuously at low speed.

Turn the wiper switch to HIGH.

The wipers run continuously at the faster speed.

Turn the wiper switch to OFF.

The wipers return to the park position at low speed.

Turn the wiper switch to MIST, then release.

The wipers make one complete sweep at low speed and return to park.
