Did you perform the Wiper/Washer System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the wiper/washer switch connector.
  3. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY.
  4. Measure the resistance through the wiper/washer switch connector from terminal C or terminal D (Buick pulse) to terminal E or terminal C (Buick pulse) using a J 39200.
  5. Move the wiper switch through the entire delay range.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

1.224-0.024 Mohms

Go to Step 3

Measure the resistance through the connector from terminal C or terminal D (Buick pulse) to terminal F or terminal A (Buick pulse) using a J 39200.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

3 ohms

Go to Step 5

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

Test CKT 94 and CKT 91 for an open or poor connection.

Does an open or poor connection exist?

--

Go to Step 6

Repair the open or poor connection in CKT 94 and CKT 91.

Remove the wiper motor cover. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .

Are the park switch pulse terminals touching the pads on the circuit board?

Replace the wiper motor cover. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .
