Did you perform the Audible Warning System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the engine oil pressure indicator switch.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between terminal 1 of the engine oil pressure indicator switch and a known good ground.
  3. Start the engine.

Does the low engine oil pressure warning buzzer operate?

Replace the engine oil pressure indicator switch.

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Disconnect the gauge cluster connector.
  2. Use the DMM in order to measure the resistance between terminal 1 of the engine oil pressure indicator switch connector and terminal 15 of the gauge cluster connector.

Is the measured resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT PU1.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the gauge cluster.

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were removed previously.
  2. Verify that the engine oil pressure warning buzzer operates properly.
