Did you perform the Audible Warning System Check?

  1. Remove the CLAMP W PBSL Fuse.
  2. Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch.
  3. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between the input of the CLAMP W PBSL Fuse and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

0V

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate a short to B+ in circuit A19.
  2. Repair the short to B+ in circuit A19.
  3. If this circuit is OK, replace the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column On Vehicle Service.

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Locate a short to B+ in the key-in-ignition positive voltage circuit.
  2. Repair the short to B+ in the key-in-ignition positive voltage circuit.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

Go to Step 5

  1. Connect all connectors and components that you disconnected.
  2. Test the key-in-ignition warning.

Does the key-in-ignition warning operate properly?
