Did you perform the Audible Warning System Checkd?

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

1. Place the key in the ignition.
2. Close the driver's door.
3. Disconnect the front left side door jamb switch.

Is the key-in-igniton warning still activated?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

1. Locate a short to ground in circuits RM1, RM2, RM901 or RM900.
2. Repair the short to ground in circuits RM1, RM2, RM901or RM900.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 5

Replace the left front side door jamb switch. Refer to Door Jamb Switch Replacement in Doors.

is the repair complete?

Go to Step 5

--

1. Connect all connectors and components that you disconnected.
2. Test the key-in-ignition warning.

Does the key-in-ignition warning operate properly?

--

System OK
