Did you perform the Door Systems Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Read the current personalization setting for the automatic door lock mode. Refer to Power Door Locks Operation for a description of mode functions.
  4. Close all doors and shift out of park, shift into park and turn ignition switch off.

Do locks operate as expected for mode selected?

With the scan tool, retrieve the status of the Door Jamb Sw. inputs from each door modules Inputs list.

Do all doors indicate OFF (door closed)?

Replace the rear integration module (RIM). Refer to Rear Integration Body Control Module Replacement

Did you complete the replacement?

Close all doors and shift out of park, shift into park and turn ignition switch off.

Do doors lock and unlock when shifting?

Was mode 3 the mode selected for the personalization settings as read in Step 2?

  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
  3. Enter the personalization menu and set the driver lock options to the same as read in Step 2.

Test for and repair short to ground on the door jamb switch circuit of the suspect door(s).
