Removal Procedure

    Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

  1. Slide the sunshade assembly to the rear.

  2. Object Number: 258903  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 3 screws (1) from each side of the window cam assembly.
  4. Slide the window cam assembly rearward.
  5. Cycle the glass panel to the vent position.
  6. Remove the 3 screws (1) from each side of the glass panel.
  7. Notice: To avoid paint damage, protect the area surrounding the part which you are removing or installing.

    Important: Do not handle the glass panel at the outboard edges. Lift at the center of the glass panel.

  8. Remove the sunroof glass panel from the sunroof opening.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the glass panel to the roof opening.
  2. Install the 3 screws to the sunroof panel window cam assembly.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the 3 screws (1) to each side of the glass panel.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  6. Close the glass panel to the flush position.
  7. Check and adjust if needed. Refer to Sunroof Panel Vertical Adjustment .
  8. Close the sunshade.
