Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the outside mirror assembly. Refer to
Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Replacement
.
- Remove the following components retaining the door window weatherstrip (4):
- Lift upward on the door window weatherstrip (4) in order
to remove it from the shark fin.
Installation Procedure
Important: Ensure that the door window weatherstrip (1) overlaps the door
window a minimum of 3 mm (0.125 in).
- Install the door window weatherstrip to the sharkfin.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the following components in order to retain the door window
weatherstrip (4) :
Tighten
Tighten the two fasteners (2) to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
- Connect the power window switch to the electrical connector.
- Raise the window to the full up position in order to check the
weatherstrip overlap.
- Return the window to the full down position.
- Disconnect the power window switch.
- Install the outside mirror assembly. Refer to
Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Replacement

- Install the door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
