1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Place the gear selector lever in the PARK position.
3. Press the MIRROR button on automatic day/night mirror switch.
4. Cover the mirror forward light sensor (windshield side) with a dark cloth.
5. Shine an incandescent light on the mirror rearward light sensor (mirror side).

The inside automatic day/night mirror and LH mirror gradually darken.

Place the gear selector lever in the REVERSE position.

The inside automatic day/night mirror and LH mirror gradually lighten to a clear state.

Place the gear selector lever in the PARK position.

The inside automatic day/night mirror and LH mirror gradually darken.

Remove the light from the automatic day/night mirror.

The inside automatic day/night mirror and LH mirror gradually become lighter, but does not enter a clear state.

With a compass, press the COMPASS button on automatic day/night mirror switch.

The compass display on the automatic day/night mirror turns on and the correct direction is shown.
