Check the rear fuse block PWR SEAT circuit breaker for continuity.

Is the PWR SEAT circuit breaker OK?

Measure the voltage from the battery positive voltage (B+) circuit of the power seat switch harness connector to a good ground.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

9-16 V

Measure the voltage from the battery positive voltage (B+) circuit of the power seat switch to the ground circuit of the seat switch.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

9-16 V

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Power Seat Systems?

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, observe any one of the seat directional parameters in the Memory Seat Module data list.
  4. Activate the seat switch in the direction of the observed parameter.

Does the seat parameter change state?

Measure the voltage from the battery positive voltage circuit of the memory seat module harness connector C 1.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

9-16 V

  1. Probe one of the seat switch input circuits of the memory seat module harness connector, with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
  2. Activate the appropriate seat switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test the battery positive voltage circuit of the power seat switch for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
