Did you review the heated seat operation and perform the necessary inspection?

Go to Step 2

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Is the LOW indicator of the heated seat switch always on?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the heated seat switch connector.
  2. Connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire from the ground terminal of the heated seat switch to a good ground.
  3. Momentarily connect a test lamp from battery positive voltage to the low indicator terminal of the heated seat switch.

Does the LOW indicator of the heated seat switch illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Test the low indicator control circuit between the door module and the heated seat switch for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the low indicator control circuit between the door module and the heated seat switch for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect the for poor connections at the harness connector of the door module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect the for poor connections at the harness connector of the heated seat switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement in Doors.
