J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
  2. Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  3. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  4. Remove the front carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  5. Remove the rear carpet retainers. Refer to Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement .

  6. Object Number: 106218  Size: SH
  7. Using J 38778 remove the four retainers from the front and rear carpet overlap seam.
  8. Carefully disengage the floor ducts from the floor duct assembly.
  9. Remove the rear carpet from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 106218  Size: SH

    Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.

  1. Place the rear carpet into the vehicle.
  2. Lift the rear edge of the front carpeting in order to attach the rear carpeting duct assembly.
  3. Ensure the floor ducts are securely attached to the floor duct assembly.
  4. Install the four retainers into the floor pan at the front and rear carpet overlap seam.
  5. Install the rear carpet retainers. Refer to Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  6. Install the front carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  7. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  8. Install the center console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  9. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
