The lock cylinder is faulty.

Install a new lock cylinder.

Refer to Steering Column Lock Cylinder Set - Off Vehicle .

The ignition switch is faulty.

Install a new ignition switch.

Refer to Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle and Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

The housing, support, the shift gate tang, and sector have burrs.

Remove the burrs.

The housing in relation to the cover is misaligned.

Replace either or both.

The ignition switch mounting position is damaged.

Replace the lock module assembly or the ignition switch assembly.

Refer to Electronic Column Lock Module - Disassemble - Off Vehicle and Electronic Column Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
