Inspect the condition of the A/C CMPR fuse in the engine wiring harness junction block.

Is the fuse open?

Go to Step 3

Locate and repair the source of the overload in CKT 441 (BRN), or CKT 59 (DK GRN) and replace the fuse.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Inspect the condition of G 104.

Is it clean and tight?

--

Go to Step 6

Repair G 104 as necessary.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Disconnect the A/C compressor clutch connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Turn the A/C switch to the ON position.
  4. Connect a test light from the A/C compressor clutch connector, cavity A to ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 7

Connect a test light from the A/C compressor clutch connector, cavity B to B +.

Did the test light illuminate?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the A/C compressor clutch connector, cavity B and G 104.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Disconnect the A/C compressor relay.
  2. Connect a test light from cavity B 4 of the A/C compressor relay connector to ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 11

Locate and repair the open in CKT 441 (BRN) between the A/C compressor relay connector, cavity 87 and the A/C CMPR fuse, cavity G 6.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Connect a test light from the A/C compressor relay connector, cavity A 4 to B +.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 13

Locate and repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the A/C compressor relay connector, cavity A 4 and G 104.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Connect a test light from the A/C compressor relay connector, cavity B 6 to ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 22

  1. Disconnect the A/C compressor high pressure cutoff switch.
  2. Connect a test light from the A/C compressor high pressure cutoff switch connector, cavity B to ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 17

  1. Disconnect the A/C compressor refrigerant pressure switch.
  2. Connect a test light from the A/C compressor refrigerant pressure switch connector, cavity B to ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 204 (DK BLU) between the A/C compressor refrigerant pressure switch connector, cavity B and the body builder installed A/C control.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Install a fused jumper between cavity B and cavity A of the A/C compressor high pressure cutoff switch. Refer to Using Fused Jumper Wires in Wiring Systems.
  2. Connect a test light from the A/C compressor relay connector, cavity B 6 to ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 25

Locate and repair the open in CKT 459 (DK GRN/WHT) between the A/C compressor high pressure cutoff switch connector, cavity A and the A/C compressor relay connector, cavity B 6.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Install a fused jumper between cavity B and cavity A of the A/C compressor refrigerant pressure switch connector.
  2. Connect a test light from the A/C compressor high pressure cutoff switch connector, cavity B to ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Locate and repair the open in CKT 203 (LT BLU) between the A/C compressor refrigerant pressure switch connector, cavity A and the A/C compressor high pressure cutoff switch connector, cavity B.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the A/C compressor refrigerant pressure switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Install a fused jumper between cavity B 4 and cavity A 6 of the A/C compressor relay connector.
  2. Connect a test light from cavity A of the A/C compressor clutch connector to ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 59 (DK GRN) between the A/C compressor relay connector, cavity A 6 and the A/C compressor clutch connector, cavity A.

Is the repair complete?
