Inspect the TURN-B/U fuse in the fuse block.

Is the TURN-B/U fuse open?

Go to Step 4

Inspect and repair the source of the overload in CKT 139 (PNK).

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Connect a test lamp from cavity J 5 of the TURN-B/U fuse to ground.
  2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

--

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in CKT 3 (PNK) between the fuse block and the ignition switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

  1. Disconnect the turn/hazard lamp switch.
  2. Connect a test lamp from cavity A 2 at the turn/hazard lamp switch to ground.
  3. Place the ignition in the RUN position.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

--

Go to Step 9

Locate and repair the open in CKT 139 (PNK) between the turn/hazard lamp switch and the fuse block.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

  1. Remove the turn/hazard lamp flasher from the instrument panel (IP) wiring harness junction block.
  2. Measure the resistance in CKT 1508 (LT BLU) between the turn/hazard lamp flasher connector and the turn/hazard lamp switch connector with a J 39200 digital multimeter.

Was the resistance greater than the specified value?

1 ohms

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 11

Repair the open in CKT 1508 (LT BLU) between the turn/hazard lamp flasher connector and the turn/hazard lamp switch connector.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the turn/hazard lamp switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
