The column is not aligned correctly.

1. Check the following:

•	Check the column alignment.

•	Check the mounting.

•	Check the bearings.

2. Adjust repair and/or replace as needed.

The intermediate shaft universal joint is tight.

Clean, inspect and replace as needed.

The upper or the lower bearings are damaged.

1. Inspect the upper and lower bearings. Refer to Steering Shaft, Lower Bearing, and Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle for disassembly.
2. Refer to Steering Shaft, Lower Bearing, and Jacket - Assemble - Off Vehicle for assembly.
