- Remove the HORN MiniFuse® #11.
- Probe the fuse terminal B in the underhood electrical center with
a test light.
- Depress the horn switch.
Does the test light illuminate?

- Remove the HORN Micro Relay #36.
- Connect a DMM between the circuit 28 terminal in the underhood
electrical center and ground.
- Measure resistance to ground of circuit 28 with the horn switch
depressed.
- Is the resistance within specified values?

Caution: When you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the
SIR wiring, you must disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment,
personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.
- Remove the drivers side inflator module from the steering wheel.
- Disconnect the horn brush slip ring connector inside the steering
wheel.
- Connect a DMM between the horn brush slip ring terminal in the
steering wheel and the circuit 28 terminal in the underhood electrical center.
- Measure the resistance of circuit 28.
Is the resistance within specified values?
| 0-2 ohms

- Disconnect the horn ground strap pigtail terminal in the steering
wheel.
- Connect a DMM between the horn ground terminal in the steering
wheel and ground.
- Measure the resistance of circuit 150 to ground.
