  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Move the head-up display dimmer switch to the full bright position.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Do all segments of the head-up display illuminate for 3.5 seconds?

Go to Head Up Display (HUD) Inoperative

Operate the head-up display image UP and DOWN by pressing the DISPLAY button.

Does the head-up display image move UP and DOWN properly?

--

System OK

Go to Step 4

  1. Head-up display switch still connected.
  2. At the head-up display switch connector, jumper terminal 9 (GRY) to ground.

Does the head-up display image move UP properly?

Go to Step 5

  1. Head-up display switch still connected.
  2. At the head-up display switch connector, jumper terminal 8 (ORN) to ground.

Does the head-up display image move DOWN properly?

Go to Step 9

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Reconnect or install any connectors or components that were disconnected or removed.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Move the head-up display dimmer switch to the full bright position.
  5. Operate the head-up display image UP and DOWN by pressing the DISPLAY button.

Does the head-up display image move UP and DOWN properly?
