DEFINITION: Head-up display does not change display modes when the PAGE button is pressed.

Were you sent here from the IPC Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Move the head-up display dimmer switch to the full bright position.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Do all segments of the head-up display illuminate for 3.5 seconds?

Go to Head Up Display (HUD) Inoperative

Press and release the PAGE button to scroll through the following head-up display modes:

    • Speedometer
    • Speedometer and gauges
    • Speedometer and Tachometer
    • Speedometer, Tachometer and Gauges
    • Tachometer

Does the head-up display mode change?

System OK

Go to Step 4

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the head-up display switch and IPC. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs

Test the head-up display switch circuit for a short to ground, short to voltage, or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs
