Power Seat Switch Replacement VIN Plant Code 6
Removal Procedure
- Remove the seat back recliner
handle from the front seat back hinge/ recliner mechanism.
- Remove the front seat cushion outer trim panel (5) from
the front seat cushion frame.
- Disconnect the front seat power switch electrical connector.
- Remove the front seat power switch bolts.
- Remove the front seat power switch (9) from the front seat
outer cushion finish trim panel.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front seat power switch to the front seat cushion
outer finish trim panel.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
power seat switch bolts (8).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 1 N·m (9 lb in).
- Connect the front seat power switch electrical connector.
- Install the front seat cushion outer trim panel (5) to
the front seat cushion frame.
- Install the front seat cushion outer trim panel (5) screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).
- Install the front seat back recliner handle.
- Install the front seat back recliner handle screw.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

Removal Procedure
- Adjust
the front bucket seat to the full up position in order to gain access to the power
seat switch (3).
- Pull the bezel (1) from the power seat switch (3).
- Adjust
the front seat cushion cover (1) in order to gain access to the power seat
switch. Refer to

.
- Remove the power seat switch screw (4).
- Remove the power seat switch (3) from the cushion frame (2).
- Disconnect the wire harness electrical connector (5).
Installation Procedure
- Connect
the wire harness electrical connector (5).
- Position the power seat switch (3) to the seat cushion frame (2).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant

- Install the power seat switch screw (4).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Adjust the front seat cushion cover. Refer to
Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement
.
- Align the bezel (1) to the power seat
switch (3) and press into place until fully seated.
- Adjust the front bucket seat to the original position.
