Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power steering pressure (PSP) switch .

  3. Object Number: 242023  Size: SH
  4. Remove the PSP switch (1) from the power steering pump (3).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 242023  Size: SH

    Notice: Replacement components must be the correct part number for the application. Components requiring the use of the thread locking compound, lubricants, corrosion inhibitors, or sealants are identified in the service procedure. Some replacement components may come with these coatings already applied. Do not use these coatings on components unless specified. These coatings can affect the final torque, which may affect the operation of the component. Use the correct torque specification when installing components in order to avoid damage.

  1. Install the PSP switch (1) with a new O-ring (2) to the power steering pump (3).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the switch to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  3. Connect the PSP switch electrical connector.
  4. Install the right engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
