Was the HVAC Blower Controls System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Backprobe the blower speed selector switch connector with a test lamp from terminal 1 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

Test for an open in the LT GRN or the BLK wire between the junction block and the blower speed selector switch.

Was an open found?

--

Go to Step 11

Go to Step 4

Replace the junction block.

Is the repair complete?

--

  1. Turn the blower speed selector switch to the HIGH position.
  2. Backprobe the blower motor connector with a test lamp from terminal 2 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 8

Test for an open in the PNK wire between S232 and the blower motor.

Was an open found?

--

Go to Step 11

Replace the blower speed selector switch. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Backprobe the blower motor connector with a test lamp from terminal 1 to B+.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in the BLK wire between the blower motor and G202. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor and Fan Replacement .
