Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear wiper arm from the rear wiper linkage. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  3. Remove the cover and the nut from the wiper arm base.
  4. Remove the rear wiper motor. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement .
  5. Slide the wiper linkage out from the hatchback door.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the wiper linkage rod to the wiper arm base.
  2. Install the wiper linkage to the wiper motor crank arm.
  3. Install the rear wiper motor. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement .
  4. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
