Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 352136 Size: MH
  1. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  2. Remove the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  3. Remove the 2 screws that retain the rear window channel (2).
  4. Remove the rear window channel (2) from the vehicle.

    5. Object Number: 352151 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the clip (1), and remove the outside handle rod (2).

    6. Object Number: 352149 Size: SH
  6. Remove the following components from the front side door lock:
    7. • The inside handle rod
    • The inside lock rod
    • The outside lock rod
  7. Disconnect the door lock electrical connector.
  8. Remove the door lock (3) from the front door by removing the 5 screws.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 352149 Size: SH
  1. Install the front side door lock (3) to the front door. Secure the lock with the 5 screws.
  2. Install the following components to the door lock (3):
    3. • The inside handle rod
    • The inside lock rod
    • The outside lock rod

    Object Number: 637989 Size: SH
  3. Install the outside handle rod (2) to the clip (1) of the outside handle.

    4. Object Number: 352152 Size: MH

    Important: The door lock may not operate correctly if the push rod play is not within specifications.

  4. Check the play of the push rod (1) by operating the outside door handle. If the push rod play is not within specification, repair or replace the inoperative part.
  5. Adjust the push rod play to a range of 0.1-1.5 mm (0.004-0.06 in).
  6. Confirm the following actions:
    7. • The door does not open when the door is locked.
    • The door opens when the door is unlocked.
  7. Install the rear window channel. Secure the channel with the 2 screws.
  8. Install the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  9. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
