Did you perform the Keyless Entry Diagnostic System Check?

Attempt to program the keyless entry system. Refer to Transmitter Programming .

Does the system program properly?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

  1. Disconnect the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (Omron Module) connector.
  2. Connect a 10A fused jumper across the Keyless Entry program connector.
  3. Using a DMM, measure the voltage between the remote keyless entry program input circuit and a good ground.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

B+

Go to Step 4

Inspect for a poor connection at the harness connector of the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (Omron Module). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Important: All transmitters which are to be recognized by the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (Omron Module) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming .

Replace the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (Omron Module). Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement .

Repair the open, high resistance , or short to ground in the remote keyless entry program input circuit of the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (Omron Module). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
