Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems ?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

1. Place the headlamp switch in the OFF position.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. Observe the high beam indicator on the instrument cluster.

Does the indicator illuminate during the bulb check?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 5

1. Place the headlamp switch in the HEAD position.
2. Turn the high beams on.
3. Observe the high beam indicator.

Does the indicator illuminate?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 4

Test the instrument panel dimmer switch signal circuit between the headlamp dimmer switch and the body control module (BCM) for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 6

Replace the instrument cluster (IPC). Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

System OK

Test the instrument panel dimmer switch signal return circuit between the headlamp dimmer switch and the body control module (BCM) for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 7

Important: Perform the set up procedure for the body control module.

Replace the body control module. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

System OK
