Does the customer have a specific complaint?

Does the customer complaint relate to cabin blower fan operation? (example: blower does not operate in any speed.)

Does the customer complaint relate to cabin air delivery? (example: air blows our of wrong vent)

Go to HVAC Air Delivery System Check

Go to Step 4

Does the customer complaint relate to cabin air temperature? (example: insufficient cooling)

Go to HVAC Compressor Controls System Check

Go to Step 5

  1. Place HVAC mode control knob in the Vent position.
  2. Place the HVAC blower control knob in the low position.
  3. Place the HVAC temperature control knob to full cold (blue).
  4. Turn the ignition ON

Does air blow out of the dash vents?

Go to Step 7

Does the air flow from any of the vents (defrost or floor)?

Turn the HVAC blower control knob from low to high.

Does the air flow increase at each position of the knob?

Go to Step 8

  1. With HVAC blower control knob set to high, turn the HVAC mode select switch from max A/C to Defrost.
  2. Observe the air flow in each position for the correct ducting and force.

Did the air flow out of the correct vent for each position of the HVAC mode select switch?

Did the blower motor operate in each position of the HVAC mode select switch?
