Removal Procedure

    Important: If removing the blower case proceed to step 1. If removing the blower motor and fan only proceed to step 12.

  1. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.

  5. Disconnect the 2 relays (3).
  6. Remove the 2 screws and the relay bracket from the blower case (1).
  7. Remove the wiring harness from the guide brackets on the blower case.
  8. Remove the fresh/recirc control cable from the blower case.
  9. Remove the 2 upper bolts.
  10. Remove the 1 lower nut.
  11. Remove the blower case from the vehicle.
  12. Remove the air hose between the blower motor and the blower case.
  13. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.

  15. Remove 3 screws (4) and the blower motor (2) from the blower case.

  17. Remove the blower fan (2) from the motor (3) as needed.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the blower fan (2) to the motor (3), if removed.

  2. Object Number: 345815  Size: SH
  3. Install the blower motor (2) to the blower case (1). Secure the blower motor the with 3 screws (4).
  4. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
  5. Install the air hose between the blower motor and the blower case.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the blower case to the vehicle. Secure the blower case with the 2 upper bolts and the 1 lower nut.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and the nut to 10 N·m (89 in lb).

  9. Install the fresh/recirc control cable to the blower case.
  10. Adjust the fresh/recirc control cable. Refer to Vent Control Cable Adjustment .
  11. Install the wiring harness to the guide brackets on the blower case.

  13. Install the relay bracket (2) to the blower case (1). Secure the relay bracket with 2 screws.
  14. Connect the 2 relay (3) electrical connectors.
  15. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
  16. Connect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  17. Install the instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
