  2. Backprobe the dome lamp diode connector with a J 39200 digital multimeter from cavity 2 to B+.
  3. Measure the voltage.

Is the voltage less than the specified value?

  1. On 2-door models, backprobe the left door jamb switch connector with a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp from cavity 1 to B+.

  1. On 2-door models, test for an open in the BLK/BLU wire between S300 and the left door jamb switch.
  2. On 4-door models, test for an open in the BLK/BLU wire between S300 and the left front door jamb switch.

    • On 2-door models, test for an open in the BLK/RED wire between S304 and the dome lamp diode.
    • On 4-door models, test for an open in the BLK/RED wire between S422 and the dome lamp diode.

  2. On 2-door models, backprobe the right door jamb switch connector with a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp from cavity 1 to B+.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Test for an open in the BLK/RED wire between S304 and the right door jamb switch.
  2. On 4-door models, test for an open in the BLK/RED wire between S423 and the right front door jamb switch.

    • On 4-door models, repair the open in the BLK wire between the front right door jamb switch and G300.

    • On four door models, repair the short to ground in the BLK/BLU wire between the left front door jamb switch, the audio alarm module and the dome lamp diode. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
