Did you perform the Wiper/Washer Rear System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  2. backprobe the rear wiper/washer switch connector with a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp from cavity 2 to ground.
  3. Press and hold the rear washer switch.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Replace the rear wiper/washer switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Wiper/Washer Rear System Check

  1. Release the rear washer switch.
  2. Backprobe the rear washer pump connector with a J 35616-200 unpowered test lamp from cavity 2 to ground.
  3. Press and hold the rear washer switch.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Disconnect the rear washer pump connector.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) from connector cavity 1 to ground.
  3. Measure the resistance.

Is the measured resistance more than the specified value?

1.0 ohms

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in the BLK/GRN wire between the rear wiper/washer switch and the rear washer pump. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in the BLK ground wire between the rear washer pump and G104. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Wiper/Washer Rear System Check

Replace the rear washer pump. Refer to Rear Window Washer Pump Replacement .
