Was the Defogger System Check Performed?

Go to Defogger System Check

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Disconnect the rear defogger switch connector.
3. Connect a J 35616-200 between cavity 2 of the rear defogger switch connector and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Repair the short to voltage condition in the RED/WHT wire between cavity 2 of the Rear Defogger Switch and the Rear Defogger. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Defogger System Check

Replace the Rear Defogger Switch. Refer to Rear Window Defogger Switch Replacement .
